Absecon Lighthouse has a history museum located in the replicated 1925 Keeper’s House.  As you tour through the museum, you’ll see:

• Photos from the 1800’s
• Tide water exhibits
• Shipwreck information
• Information and photographs of Dr. Jonathan Pitney and General George Meade, who were both instrumental in the creation and construction of Absecon Lighthouse 
• Atlantic City and Absecon Lighthouse memorabilia
• A Day mark chronology
• “Lighthouse Illumination” video
• Photos of the restoration of Absecon Lighthouse
• Original Oil Can

Fresnel Lens Exhibit 

The Fresnel Lens Exhibit was made possible through support from the New Jersey Historic Trust, and Atlantic City’s Community Development Block Grant program.  It is housed in the original Oil House on the property.  Hours for touring are the same as the Lighthouse hours.
